It's Worth Repeating

That. when Anne and I do our shopping at the Walmarts in Sandusky and Lapeer, the Meijers in Lapeer and Birch Run, and at all the wonderful stores they have at Chesterfield Crossing, we as a very general rule DON'T MEET creatures like Kroger Girl, Staples Girl, Chad Miller, Trashcan Man, and the others including those we have yet to describe.  Our only out-of-town encounter with one  has been dealing with the bottle guy at Oliver T's. And even he can be given a pass, with obtuse being a way of life in places like Grand Blanc. Everyone else -- and we do mean EVERYONE else, including in Flint where they have a right to cop an attitude and take it out on the public -- has been civil.

Obtuse, lacking sharpness or quickness of sensibility or intellect; synonyms, insensitive, STUPID.

With each example of local obtusiveness we find, we're more convinced that they guy commenting in the Times-Herald's Facebook, re the misadventures of our friends down in Marysville, is right. It IS something they're putting in the water.

And speaking of local obtusiveness: the other day I met someone in Mighty Marysville who is apparently drinking the water that they put something in by the truckload.
